Neil Shorten looks back on 2022 at Photofab
2022, that was some year! If you told me what would happen in the world on 1st January 2022 I might suggest you were still on the Sherry from Xmas / New Year…
So what can we take from 2022, and what do we see coming in 2023?
Value your workforce!
Unemployment is at an all-time low alongside a cost of living crisis. If you don’t treat them well, someone else will. I am very lucky to work with some great people here at Photofab, we have lost a few during the year which is sad, but we did all we could to keep those key individuals. We have also recruited some excellent additions to the Photofab family which I hope will be with us for a very long time.
Communication is king!
Communication – we are a personable company which is why we have dedicated “technical” account managers who want to talk to customers, understand their needs and do everything we can to achieve them. Most communications appears to be moving to emails, or text / WhatsApp messaging. These have their place but nothing replaces meeting face to face or having a verbal conversation. To steal someone else’s strapline, it’s good to talk!
There are no guarantees!
The market is volatile, we have spent many many years looking after our customers and trying to get to know them. We pride ourselves on the flexibility we offer to change delivery dates to suit their needs, and find ways to achieve their requirements. If something is not working, we pick up the phone and talk.
Why outsource to us?
“Take advantage of our automated processes for cost-effective, high quality production with shorter lead-times.”
