Photofab believes that customers deserve the best possible service, which is why the company places customer service at the top of the priority list. As a world leader in chemical etching, the company must maintain high quality across the board.
To ensure that Photofab proves this, the company benchmarks itself against some of the largest, most well-known brands in the world by using the Net Promoter Score (NPS) system. Don’t know what that is? Below is a quick guide to what NPS is and what it means to Photofab.
What is Net Promoter Score?
Net Promoter Score is a customer loyalty metric that determines how likely a customer is to return to a business for another purchase or service. It also measures how likely customers are to recommend those purchases or services to family, friends, or colleagues.
If used correctly, NPS can be an incredibly effective tool for boosting a company’s revenue. Its main advantages are that it works closely alongside a company’s growth, as well as the simplicity of the collection, interpretation, and communication of the data.
The metric then evaluates to what extent a customer would recommend a certain company, product or service to friends, relatives, or colleagues.
Basically, if you enjoyed using a certain product, or doing business with a particular company, you are probably going to want to share these experiences with those closest to you. Depending on your opinion and the score you provide, this would then encourage or discourage said people from using a company for their services.
NPS is ranked on an 11-point rating scale, ranging from 0 (not at all likely) to 10 (extremely likely).
Depending on the score given to the Net Promoter question, three categories of people can be distinguished:
- Promoters = respondents giving a 9 or 10 score
- Passives = respondents giving a 7 or 8 score
- Detractors = respondents giving a 0 to 6 score
Although the Net Promoter Score is calculated by subtracting the % promoters and the % detractors, the score is displayed as a number instead. It is calculated by using the equation shown below.
What is a good Net Promoter Score?
Net Promoter Score is measured from -100 from 100. If a company scores higher than 0, that is usually considered to be good, while scores above 50 are considered to be excellent.
