Photofabโs long-time position in the industry has allowed us to harbour lasting relationships with other manufacturers. This means we are able to provide metal stamping services for our customers, through a quality supplier. We can provide Metal Stamping in the forms of pierce, blank, form and or draw metal. Our supplier can press blank metal sheets into precision parts at high volumes with excellent lead times. Photofab can can be trusted to supply chain manage this comprehensive metal stamping service that meets your specifications.
Metal stamping is best used for high volume applications, as the more volume is produced the better cost effective the initial outlay on the tooling is. Per unit, metal stamping through Photofab offers outstanding value, along with the same excellent service we have been providing for over 50 years.

WHAT IS Metal Stamping?
Metal Stamping, otherwise known as Metal Pressing, or sometimes Metal Blanking, is the process in which blank metal sheet is pressed into shape by a high-powered press. Stamping is a low-cost, high-volume process that is good for producing lots of identical parts. Metal stamping is a process most typically used for high volume production of small, lightweight parts as the per unit cost is very low.
The initial tooling costs make this process less suitable for low volume production, as the cost is the same regardless of volume, therefore the higher the volume the more cost efficient the process. Our in-house processes, such as Chemical Etching and Laser Cutting do not have a high tooling cost, and therefore would be better suited for this application.
CONSISTENTLY EXCELLENT PARTS
Metal Stamping from Photofabโs suppliers is known for its consistency. Even at very high volumes, each stamped part is identical. Not only can we offer a rapid 24-hour turnaround time on this service, but metal stamped parts offer:
Consistent Finish
Your parts will look the same, with the same quality of finish throughout โ there is no degradation in quality at higher volumes.
Consistent Thickness
Our precision tooling means that every single piece will be of an identical thickness, because we understand thereโs no room for error at this level of precision.
Consistent Tolerance
Each part will perform to the same specifications as outlined by yourselves โ our quality assurance process means that every part is as performative as the very first.
If a large volume batch of identical parts is what youโre after, Photofabโs Metal Stamping service is perfect for you.

DEDICATED engineering
Photofab understands the importance of skilled engineering when designing components and putting them into production. Therefore, we have heavily invested in a dedicated secondary engineering unit, the aim of this is to offer an even greater service and flexibility to our customers.
Originally set up to provide an in-house solution to support the etching division, it has proven so popular with our customers that Photofab are now offering toolroom, forming and finishing as stand-alone services. This means our customers now have access to a new level of flexibility – enjoying the convenience of full-service manufacture or pick and choose services to suit them. It truly is a complete service from Photofab.
Photofab continues to offer cutting-edge services and outstanding lead times, and we can do so because of continuous investment in our people and our processes, leading to class-leading output and lead times โ including our rapid 24 hour turnaround service.
